Lincoln Friday Classes – FAQ

When do you meet?
We meet on Fridays throughout the school year at Oak Lake Church (3300 N. 1st Street). Classes run during both fall and spring semesters, with an Orientation at the beginning of the semester and Student Showcase at the end of each semester.

What classes do you offer?
We provide a wide variety of classes for ages 2 through adult. Offerings change each semester based on parent interests and may include:

PE, Science, Math

Games, Crafts, Cooking

Book Clubs, Writing, History

And many more possibilities!

What does it cost?
Families pay a semester membership fee to cover building use, insurance, website, cleaning supplies, and other co-op needs. In addition, families pay teachers directly for their classes. Class fees vary depending on supplies and teacher time.

Do I have to stay all day?
No. Classes are offered from 9 AM – 3 PM, but families may choose only the classes that best fit their schedule.

How do I serve the co-op community?
Each semester, families help in one of six key areas:

You’ll select your preferred area when you sign up for classes.

Where do I wait while my children are in class?
Parents remain on campus during classes.

A large fellowship room is available for working, studying, snacking, and mingling.

A nursery is provided for little ones.

Is food allowed at co-op?
Yes! Families are encouraged to bring snacks and lunch foods.
